1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how GoneTo11 (“GoneTo11”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information in connection with our website www.goneto11.com, our GT11-1971 software plug-in and related services (collectively, the “Service”). It should be read together with our Terms of Service and our End User License Agreement (EULA), into which it is incorporated by reference.
We are based in Ontario, Canada, and handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, additional rights under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may apply, as described in Section 9.
2. Personal Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
2.1 Account and Purchase Information (via Moonbase)
Accounts, purchases and license management are handled through our third-party storefront and licensing provider, Moonbase, which acts as the merchant of record. When you create an account or make a purchase, information such as your name, email address, billing details and transaction history is collected and processed by Moonbase in accordance with Moonbase’s own privacy policy (available at https://moonbase.sh/privacy-policy/). We receive from Moonbase the account and purchase-entitlement information we need to fulfil and support your license. We do not store your full payment-card details ourselves.
2.2 Activation and Device (Hardware-Fingerprint) Information
To validate your license and enforce the two-device limit, the Software performs background hardware profiling and communicates with our licensing server through Moonbase. In connection with Activation and periodic re-validation, we collect and process:
- a hardware/device fingerprint (a cryptographic identifier derived from your device’s hardware profile);
- the Software product name and version;
- operating-system type and version, and similar device and network parameters; and
- activation status, timestamps and the associated Account identifier.
We use this information solely for the purpose of license validation, Activation, enforcement of the device limit, and the detection and prevention of unauthorized use. We do not use the hardware fingerprint to track your activity outside the Software or for advertising.
2.3 Website, Support and Communications
When you use our Site, contact support or subscribe to communications, we may collect your IP address, browser and device information, cookies and similar technologies, the content of your enquiries, and (if you subscribe) your email address for newsletters or product updates.
3. Purposes for Which We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to:
- provide, activate, validate and support the Software and your license;
- process and fulfil purchases through Moonbase and provide customer support;
- enforce the device limit and our license terms, and detect, prevent and address fraud, piracy or misuse;
- maintain the security, integrity and performance of the Service;
- respond to your enquiries and send you service and transactional messages;
- where you have consented, or where we are otherwise permitted to do so (for example, because you are an existing customer), send you marketing communications, including news about new products, updates, new features, promotions and special offers, and invite you to participate in surveys; and
- comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
We rely on your contact details to keep you informed about our products. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message or by contacting us (see Section 12), and we will continue to send you non-promotional service messages relating to your Account, purchases and licenses. We will send marketing communications only where permitted by the anti-spam and e-marketing laws that apply to you, and every marketing message will identify us and include an unsubscribe mechanism.
4. Legal Basis and Consent
Under PIPEDA, we collect, use and disclose personal information with your knowledge and consent, except where the law permits or requires otherwise. By activating and using the Software, you consent to the collection and use of the activation and hardware-fingerprint information described in Section 2.2, which is necessary to provide the licensed Software to you. Where GDPR applies, our legal bases are the performance of our contract with you (Activation, license validation and support), our legitimate interests (security and anti-piracy enforcement, and marketing similar products to our existing customers), your consent (for other marketing and where otherwise required), and compliance with legal obligations. Where the applicable anti-spam or e-marketing laws (such as Canada’s CASL or the EU/UK e-privacy rules) require your consent before we send you marketing, we will obtain it; where those laws permit us to market to you as an existing customer, we may do so on that basis. In every case, you may opt out of marketing at any time.

6. Disclosure of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose personal information to:
- service providers who process information on our behalf, including Moonbase (storefront, accounts, license validation) and payment processors, under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations;
- professional advisors, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets; and
- law-enforcement or regulatory authorities where required or permitted by law, or to protect our rights, property or safety or those of others.
7. International Transfers and Storage
Moonbase and certain of our service providers may store or process personal information outside Canada, including in other jurisdictions. Where information is transferred across borders, it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, and we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a comparable level of protection. Please contact us for more information about our service providers and safeguards.
8. Retention and Security
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, to provide and support your license, and to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, disclosure or use. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- request access to, and correction of, the personal information we hold about you;
- withdraw consent to certain uses (noting that withdrawing consent to activation/validation data may mean the Software can no longer be used);
- unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time; and
- where GDPR applies, request erasure, restriction or portability of your data, or object to certain processing, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
10. Cookies and Analytics
Our Site may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, preferences and analytics. We use Google Analytics (Google tag / gtag.js) to understand how visitors use our Site and to help us improve it. Google Analytics may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address, browser and device information, and pages viewed; this information is processed by Google in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect Site functionality. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children, and you must be at least 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or make a purchase. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a revised “Last updated” date, and material changes may be communicated through the Service.
